Pope Francis invited the faithful to emulate righteous men and women of prayer in asking God for healing, growth and transformation.
He dedicated his General Audience to the prayer of humble people, saying prayer sows the seeds of life.
“We cannot tolerate or turn a blind eye to racism and exclusion in any form and yet claim to defend the sacredness of every human life,” he said.
He also remembered Abraham, our “father in faith,” who was put to the ultimate test when trusting God.
