Pope Francis celebrated Mass in Bari to conclude the Mediterranean bishops' meeting for peace.
“I am frightened by speeches from certain populist leaders. They remind me of the discourses that sowed fear and hatred in the 1930s,” he said in Bari.
He met with the Centro de Protección de Menores, or, the Center for the Protection of Minors, of the Pontifical University of Mexico.
The movement seeks to spread the environmental values of “Laudato si'.”
