The initiative was started by the President of Bergamo, but has spread to the Vatican City State.
He speaks to the world, without distinguishing between religious beliefs. He says this difficult time has exposed vulnerabilities and false certainties.
"Let us pray for their work so that people do not feel isolated, for information and education," he explained.
