The organization promotes the recruitment of healthcare volunteers, psychological attention and a closeness to the people.
The papal almoner, Cardinal Krajewski will deliver some of them to the Italian town, Lecce.
“[These citizens] are responsible when they get on the bus to go to work and restart the economy, as when they go to church to participate in Mass and receive communion,” said the bishops' TV channel.
The Italian bishops said they received more than 300 letters with this request.
